Halong Carnival 2025 with the theme "Connecting Heritage, Pioneering Shining" will take place on May 1 in Quang Ninh, bringing a vibrant grand ball, DJ performances and brilliant high-altitude fireworks.

On March 13, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province informed that Ha Long Carnival 2025 will take place on May 1, 2025 at Sun Carnival Square and Vo Nguyen Giap Street (Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City), with the theme "Connecting Heritage, Pioneering Shining".

The event promises to bring a vibrant atmosphere with the Ha Long Carnival , DJ performances and high-altitude fireworks display. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in many attractive sideline activities such as masquerade balls, flashmob performances, costume experiences, body painting or creating masks in their own style.

The most anticipated activity of the Ha Long Carnival is the brilliant fireworks display. Although it only lasts for 15 minutes, this is still the most popular experience of the festival.

The opening art program is expected to last 90 minutes and will be broadcast live at 8:10 p.m. on May 1 on channels of the Quang Ninh provincial media center , and simultaneously broadcast on a number of provincial and municipal television stations across the country.

Ha Long Carnival is an annual event held since 2007, becoming a cultural and tourist highlight of Quang Ninh every summer. The festival not only contributes to promoting the beauty of local culture but also creates a driving force to promote tourism, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province, in 2025, the locality plans to organize 24 international, national and provincial-level events, along with 146 local-level programs and events. The province aims to welcome 20 million visitors this year, including 4.5 million international visitors, with total tourism revenue estimated at VND 55,000 billion.

In the first two months of 2025 alone, Quang Ninh welcomed more than 3.7 million visitors, up 27% over the same period last year. The number of international visitors reached 740,000, contributing to total tourism revenue of more than VND 8,300 billion, up 8% over the same period in 2024.
