The return transportation to/from Halong bay is included. Pick up & Drop will be
from your hotel in Hanoi.
How long to travel to Halong Bay by car?
It takes 3 hours and a half by drive from Hanoi to Halong city, one
stopover.
Is it safe to be on the car?
Though the traffic in Vietnam is not so good, drivers drive quite competently,
he will slow down for the big bumps in the road, driving the speed limits and
driving very safely.
What kind of car will I have?
It depends on size of your own group. We will let you know which car we will use
for the tour, they are all in excellent quality.
What about accommodation in Halong Bay?
There are few international standard hotels in Halong ranging from standard to

Is it safe to stay overnight on the junk boats?
Yes, It's quite safe. Halong Bay is calm and our selected junk boats are firm
and big like a floating mini hotels. 24/7 service is always available for
emergency situation. There are hundreds of junk boats are operating tours on the
Halong Bay but we only select the best ones with good conditions for our
customers.
Are there lifejackets onboard? Will they fit children?
The Junk is fully equipped with all the latest safety gear and each cabin
has lifejackets. There are also life buoys suitable for children.
Is there an electricity supply aboard the junk?
Yes, we do have electricity supply aboard to ensure the light at all time and
that the air con working properly. So you can use your gadget to support the
flat battery.
Could you let me know how big the group is on the junk?
Our junk is small and cosy. It is not for the big group. It just accommodates
small group of 8-12 people allowing maximum of flexibility and privacy. Our Junk
boat is more personal and authentic.
When staying on the boat how many rooms does the rate include?
The rate is based on twin/double cabin. if you take a single cabin you will pay
the single supplement.
Where on boat do I sleep ? Do the cabins have air conditioning and ensuite
facilities with private bathroom?
All the junks we provide has equipped cabins with en-suite bathroom and Fan
or air-condition .
Does the junk boat have double beds or are there just single beds?
Yes, the boat have double bed (twin) and single beds
If we are a family of 2 adults and 1 child 5 years old. What is the bedding
arrangement if we share the same cabin?
If you have 2 adults and 1 child of 5 year old the bedding arrangement will be 1
twin/ double cabin. You will share the same cabin. Your child of 5 year old is
free of charge
Does the boat rock or shake during the night?
No, thousands of islands provide natural shelter in Halong bay, so it's
quite calm.
Can I sleep on the deck? Are there mosquito nets on the deck?
Yes, you can sleep on the upper deck if you wish, there are comfortable
lounge chairs there. There are no mosquito nets available on the deck.
What about meals? Will we afford by ourselves?
No, Rates on the website are inclusive of fullboard so you do not worry about
meals.
What will I eat, I am a vegetarian?
Vegetarian and diet meals are provided on the cruise
Could we bring additional beer/wine on board during the cruise or can we arrange
to have the boat be well stocked with beer?
The boat have enough beer/wine/soft drinks/water in supply. You can have it at
your liking . The food on boat is included and you just pay for the drink.
Which cruise is the best in Halong Bay?
All cruises are on this website are great. We can not say which one is the best
because it depends on your styles and budget. Please let us know your ideas, we
will recommend you a suitable ones.

Can I charter a private cruise for my own usage?
Certainly you can. If you want to have privacy, do not want to share junk boats
with other tourists. Depend on the size of your group, we will help you to
choose a suitable one.?
Do I have to book on-line? Can I use my Travel Agent?
You can either book with Halong Tour on-line, directly with us or visit your
nearest travel agent. If you choose to book on-line the web desk will process
your booking on-line and all correspondence will be via email. We're always
happy to work with reputable Travel Agents to help arrange your vacation. Your
Travel Agent still receive his or her commission on flights and any travel
insurance.
Booking a trip through the internet can be tricky: who will guarantee that I
will get what I paid for?
To assure you that the money you want to spend on your holiday will not be lost
somewhere on the electronic highway we sell our trips under the most favorable
booking conditions:?
- When you book a trip you make a deposit of only 10% per person (note: bank fee
is on your side)?
- The remaining amount will be paid before the starting date of the tour when
all reservations have been made.

Is availability guaranteed when I book online? If I book a tour, can I be
guaranteed that it will run?
On some tours we must confirm arrangements with our people on the ground, a
process which usually takes no more than 24 hours. When you book online you will
receive a follow-up email confirming your arrangements or a timeframe for when
they will be confirmed. We strongly recommend that you do not make any other
non-refundable travel arrangements until your tour is guaranteed to run.
Occasionally, of course, political situations and other factors may mean that
it's not possible to run a trip but this is very rare.
Is it possible that a tour could be cancelled? What happens then?
A tour may be cancelled due to bad weather, closed roads or simply not enough
people. In any case, Halong Tour will give you a full refund.
What details should I have to book online?

Are there any additional booking charges?
No, there are no additional booking charges.
Do you think I need to have tour guide to escort to Halong bay? Can
we book a tour without a guide? What about kayaking and biking?
The rates for all tours in this website are inclusive of tour guide
service, you won't have to afford him/her meals and accommodation.
Your guide will travel with you on the road, telling you more about
Vietnam and helping you on the way. It is possible to book a tour
without a guide so that you can keep the costs down. For your
safety, a guide is mandatory on all Halong Tour "adventure" tours
such as kayaking and biking
How will I do if I do not have tour guide?
Tour guides are available every cruises. They will guide you while cruising.
If we book the tour through your web site. How do we pick up the travel
documentation and voucher?
All documentation is sent electronically by email. Shortly after we receive your
booking form we will send you your trip documents (normally within 48 hours)
which should be printed out by participants and retained as a receipt.

What about tipping?
If you are satisfied with your tour guides, drivers then a small gratuity is an
appropriate way in which to show appreciation. Generally an amount of around
US$5-7 per day should be budgeted for your guides/leaders and drivers. Tipping
of the boat staff would be extra.
