According to information from the Quang Ninh Department of
Transport, it has received a notice from Halong
International Cruise Port and Tuan Chau International Cruise
Port about increasing entrance fees to visit Halong bay from
June 1.
Specifically, passengers visiting Halong Bay from the two
ports above will have to pay a port service fee of 60,000
VND/person.
With the increase in entrance fees through the port, the
entrance fee to Halong Bay for each passenger will increase
from 440,000 to 460,000 VND for route 1 (including: 310,000
VND for entrance ticket, 150,000 VND for boat ticket). For
route 2, the ticket price will increase from 490,000 to
510,000 VND (including: 310,000 VND for entrance ticket and
200,000 VND for boat ticket). In the 310,000 VND entrance
ticket, 60,000 VND is the port fee collected by the ports.
Overnight fees on Halong Bay will also increase, averaging
from 600,000 - 800,000 VND/person.
Speaking to the media, a representative of the Quang Ninh
Department of Transport said that the unit has received a
notice about adjusting entrance fees for passengers of the
two ports above. Currently, the Quang Ninh Department of
Transport is collecting opinions from relevant departments
to submit to the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee.
Regarding the increase, Halong Bay Management Board also
said that this unit has received information about the price
increase of the two cruise ports. To ensure that the
business service activities of enterprises comply with legal
regulations and ensure the interests of passengers to Halong
bay, the Management Board has issued a document requesting
the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province to direct the
Department of Transport to coordinate with relevant
agencies, units and enterprises to review and evaluate the
adjustment of passenger service prices through the port to
ensure compliance with legal regulations before
implementation.
In recent times, Halong Bay has become the focal point of
domestic tourism in the country. Since the beginning of the
year, there have been over 1 million visitors to the World
Natural Heritage Halong Bay; including 207,494 domestic
visitors, 810,949 foreign visitors with a total of 41,203
boat trips. Total sightseeing ticket sales revenue from the
beginning of 2024 has reached over 322 billion VND.
